Atraumatic wound contact layer
The primary atraumatic wound contact layer Cutimed® Sorbion® Plus consists of a hypoallergenic polyethylene film. Its special three-dimensional structure minimises contact with the wound bed. The pores of the wound contact layer conduct fluids from the wound bed to the secondary dressings. The three-dimensional structure also reduces the flow of fluids back into the wound. Cutimed® Sorbion® Plus moulds perfectly to the wound surface and can be removed without leaving any residue.
Use as wound contact layer in combination with an appropriate wound dressing for exuding wounds such as chronic wounds (e.g. leg ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, decubitus ulcers), exuding burn areas, post-operative wounds and dehiscence, fistulas and ulcerating carcinomas. Also as a wound contact layer for treating acute wounds such as skin abrasions, superficial burns and surgical wounds.
